Abstract

This paper explores the theoretical foundation for developing a unified digital platform for storing and presenting material cultural heritage in 3D. While modern technologies such as 3D scanning and modeling offer powerful tools for preservation and research, current approaches remain fragmented and inefficient. Through a critical analysis of existing systems—ranging from museum archives to commercial 3D platforms—the authors identify a lack of centralized, research-oriented solutions tailored to cultural heritage. The proposed concept introduces a comprehensive platform framework, including metadata management, user-centered analytical tools, and web-based 3D visualization. Functional requirements are defined through user stories and formalized in business process models. The study argues that only a purpose-built, unified infrastructure can truly meet the demands of cultural preservation and scholarly analysis in the digital age.
