Abstract

Abstract. The transition to low carbon development of ukraine's economy requires quantitative and qualitative analysis of the characteristics of greenhouse gas pollution. On the basis of the air emissions account (2017), qualitative characteristics in the context of ten pollutants and three sectors of the economy and household sector have been prepared.

Prepared emissions volumes primary, secondary, tertiary sectors and households of the Economy of Ukraine, determined physical emissions in the amount of 1 mln. direct and indirect emissions per unit of output, full emissions load on the final demand sectors of the economy. To assess the volume and parameters of pollution, the tools of interseminal analysis were used, which included the finding of a matrix of direct costs and the inverse matrix of Leontiev, etc.A promising area of research is to expand research in the context of more detailed types of economic activity, to form dynamic ranks, to take into account the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce pollution volumes, etc. Keywords: low carbon development, sectors of the economy, greenhouse gases, cross-sectoral analysis, pollution assessment.
