An analysis of the subject area, in terms of assessing the effectiveness of investing in information security systems (ISS) of information facilities (IF). The possibility of obtaining the necessary data to assess the effectiveness of measures to improve the information security (IS) of the enterprise / company through simulation is substantiated. The method of calculation for estimation of result from influence of the spent actions on IS which is considered on a concrete example is offered. This methodology simulates the assessment of loss prevention, which is the basic indicator in substantiating the economic effect of the GIS. With the help of simulation, the relative uncertainty of the real situation with IB OBI is taken into account. This allows to increase the reliability of the justification of the effectiveness of investment projects in the field of IS for IF. In contrast to the existing ones, the proposed methodology may take into account the impact of both direct and indirect factors of efficiency of investment projects with IS IF
